The WFST theme verse:
COLOSSIANS 4: 2-4 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

 Let My People Think

WFST has added "Let My People Think" with Ravi Zacharias, to our schedule, Sundays at 7:30 AM. "Let My People Think" is a half-hour program heard weekly on over 1400 stations in every state of the United States as well as 16 other countries on five continents. Ravi Zacharias has occasionally been heard on WFST at night when one of our volunteers was unable to come in.
We have had multiple requests to add Ravi to our schedule for some time. Ravi has established a ministry called Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM). You can find out more about "RZIM" by going to the web site www.rzim.org.
The radio outreach of RZIM is a listener supported ministry that powerfully mixes biblical teaching and Christian apologetics. The programs seek to explore issues such as life's meaning, the credibility of the Christian message and the Bible, the weakness of modern intellectual movements, and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.
We have had multiple requests to add Ravi to our schedule, but we try to have a 50/50 mix of music and teaching programs, which is a difficult thing to do with so many great biblical teachers.
Give "Let My People Think" a listen this coming Sunday.

Harvestime Program Production Ends

The World Evangelism Center of Saint Louis, MO. will no longer produce "Harvest Time". The United Pentecostal Church International has decided to stop production of the program "Harvest Time" and they have replace that program with "There Is Hope For Today". This new program is set up similar in format to Dr. James Dobson's "Focus on the Family" broadcast. After sharing this information with the current sponsors and getting their feedback, WFST has decided not to pick up the new program. The Harvest Time Sponsor chose not to Sponsor the new program. We are currently airing "Let My People Think". If we are unable to find a Sponsor for that program we will look for something else. Call WFST at 492-6000 and let us know if you like the program.

Project Update

There is a project that should be completed this coming month. We should complete the refurbishing of an old transmitter that we acquired late last year. We have had to buy a lot of new parts to tune it to our 600KHz frequency. Because of the amount of parts and their cost we have been purchasing them as funds made it possible. The last parts should arrive about the same time that you receive this newsletter.

Then, we will need to have Howie Soule, (radio engineer, par excellence) from Bangor to work with Andy Rebscher and Don Flewelling on installing the parts. This transmitter when completed will allow us to have a back up transmitter to turn on when something needs to be cleaned or breaks. Thank you all. You make it happen !

WFST says "Thank You!!"

WFST want to say a big Thank You to Gary Kelley and his son, Leon, for fixing our shelves in the music room to take advantage of the space for our CDs.

Another Big Thank You goes out to the couple who came and updated our flower box. They tilled it and then added the plants. Now we have a boxful of beautiful blooms of red, white, yellow, with spikes of purple not to mention all the green from the plants. It is wonderfully bright and cheerful to look out the window and see all the colors. Thanks and God bless you!
