The WFST theme verse:
Colossians 4:2-4
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

August Giveaways

WFST is pleased to give away certificates from Baker Book Publishing Group for books that are relevant to your Christian life, whether it's for disciplining children, help in your marriage or your devotional life.

Call in when the announcer announces the giveaway (usually this is in Dick's shift: 9AM - 1PM.) After receiving the certificate, send it into Baker Publishing and they will mail the book to you. (what could be easier?) Or you can take it to a book store and redeem it there.

August's Booklist includes:
Parenting the Heart of Your Child by Diane Moore. A unique approach to parenting that shapes character, not just behavior. Raising morally mature children these days may seem like a pipe dream, but here's the help your family needs to make it a reality! Practical and informative, challenging and thoroughly biblical, this book can help everyone in the family to make the right decision, even when no one is looking. It includes a study guide with challenging questions and Scripture references, for applying the lessons of each chapter.

The Potluck Club by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson. Meet the Potluck Club - six women who gather each month to share their insatiable appetite for good friends, great food, and a pinch of prayer. Their seemingly unlikely friendship brings a little spice to life in Summit View, Colorado. But when they send up enough misinformed prayers to bring down a church, things get interesting: Evie's niece arrives with a broken heart and a big surprise. Lisa Leann tries to take over. Goldie's marriage turns sour. Donna stews over a strange encounter. Lizzie's librarian eyes are on the lookout for trouble. Vonnie must come to terms with a secret she's kept hidden from her best friends. But who knows what life will serve as The Potluck Club discovers that friendship is no piece of cake and a little dash of grace, like salt, goes a long way.

Praying Backwards by Bryan Chapell. In this unique and intriguing book, the author shows what it really means to pray in Christ's name and truly understand the power of prayer.

Peacemaking Women: Biblical Hope for Resolving Conflict by Tara Llena Barthel and Judy Dabler. This book offers a meaningful, lasting message to lead you out of conflict and into a state of peace where you can live as a representative of Christ to other women as well as to unbelievers. With personal stories and advice that is firmly rooted in Scripture, the authors guide you to peace with God, peaceful relationships with others, and genuine peace within.

A Christian's Guide to Investing by Danny Fontana. A Christian perspective on investing successfully, from the stock market to estate planning.
