The WFST theme verse:
COLOSSIANS 4: 2-4 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

 Summer Budget Woes

WFST is in a tight spot financially because of a short fall these last three months. The monthly budget is $12,268. As of June 17 we had received $5,895.65 for the month, a short fall of $6372.35. Our total gifts for the last three months are $26,882.62. We are short $9,921.38 from our 3 month $36,804 budget. Year-to-date we received $64546.65, our six month budget is $73611.48. We have only spent $67307.93. While that is $6303.55 below our budgeted forecast we are still almost $3000 short of covering our current expenses.

To complicate things, we have had transmitter repair costs that exceeded the budgeted amount we had set aside for emergency repairs. We have cut costs where we can and will continue to look for places to save. We have lowered our Health Insurance cost by increasing the deductibles. We have also reduced our payroll expense and will automate to cover vacations whenever possible. We do not have a lot of fat in the budget so all cuts are difficult. I understand that it is financially tight every where. However, if you could take this need to prayer, our God can meet this need and all our needs.

We trust in Him and we watch to see how He will meet this need.

WFST "Thank You Picnic" !!

For the second year in a row, WFST held its annual Thank You Picnic on a gray, rainy day. But just like last year, the weather didn't stop us from grilling, eating, visiting and having fun.

We want to thank some special people for braving the weather and helping the picnic to be a success: Pastor Jewel and the Bethel Pentecostal Church for the use of the tables and chairs (Pastor Jewel even went so far as to bring us most of the chairs in his SUV to help us out); Mark Kalata for the use of the tent and Jack McCarthy and sons for putting it up and taking it down; Mark McKenna for use of the grill; Tom Hale, John Stephenson, Dana Doody, Dave Wilson, and Dick Waugh who "chefed" for us; Janet Stephenson and Lois Walton for making us delicious homemade cookies; Glenna Baker for bringing us some lovely cinnamon bread; to Linda and Marilee Waugh, Brad and Holly Frank, Andrew Lajoie, Roger, and Julie Stephenson for setting up and taking down and running errands. The following people gave of their time and talents in making other goodies for us; Claudia Hitchings, Carolyn Kelley, Ellie Thomas, Phyllis Holmes made salads; Ina Doody, Gary and Joann Kelley, Dave and Charlotte Wilson made salads/beans and to everyone who came and helped us eat it- we thank you as well. Hope to see you next year and have a great summer!! (A special thank you to Christa for planning and doing all the work for the picnic. You are a blessing and a big help to us, Christa, thank you.)
