February Broadcasing Notes...
WFST was off the air for 3 days last month...
A resistor in the modulator section of the transmitter burned up, or more accurately, melted.
It cost about $150.00 to repair and 3 days to have the parts delivered from Texas.
As for the backup transmitter,
we received the final parts on Jan. 18th.
Andy Rebshur and Howie Soule are planning for a date when
they can both spend a couple of days reassembling and tuning the new (used) transmitter.
When it is finished we will have a working backup and
any problems should only keep us off the airwaves for a few minutes.

License Filing Update!
We have filed the paperwork and have made the Pre-Filing announcements. We are currently airing the Post-Filing announcements. We should hear from the FCC in March with our renewal licence. The Final cost for relicensing is $3625. (We had estimated a cost of $3000 during our November fundraiser.) Of the amount pledged $1354.00 has come in, so we are looking for the remaining pledges of $1,646.00 to come in to cover this expense. If you made a pledge to help cover the cost of relicencing, please remember this need soon! In the meantime we will cover our expenses by borrowing funds from our Prepaid 2006 account. jds
