March Broadcasing Notes...
Last month we shared about the transmitter problem in January...
We're glad to report that we've been working on the backup transmitter.
The parts had been ordered last year and we were waiting for our
radio engineers to be available to do the assembly work.
Engineers Howie Soule and Andy Rebshur have been here twice, for a total of 4 days...
All the parts have been installed, the transmitter has been retuned to 600 Kilocyles
(down from 1210Kc) and the power output has been tuned from 9000 Watts to 5000 Watts to match
our license requirements. There is still the matter of a small humming sound that has to be
removed, retuning the night power limits and attaching a relay panel for remote operation.
Mr. Soule's primary responsibilities are to several Bangor radio stations. He hopes to be
able to be back here at our station in mid-March. When all is done, we expect to be able
to switch back and forth from one transmitter to another when there is a problem to fix... and we'll be able to fix one, as you listen to the other!

Year End Tax News
WFST has finished its financial year in the black!
Thanks be to God and all of his people who sent gifts last year.
Without Him and all of you, we would not be able to have
this Christian Radio Ministry in Northern Maine.
As part of the year-end work that goes on here, we prepared and sent out
financial statements to those who made contributions to WFST in 2005.
Your gifts to WFST are tax-deductible under charitable contributions.
If you did not receive a statement or if you found errors on your statement,
please call Linda at 207-492-6000.
