Ernest C."Ernie" Anderson - a faithful supporter!

Ernie Anderson

Ernie Anderson, an old friend of WFST and faithful supporter, died Monday, Nov. 27th. Ernie will be fondly remembered by us for the Concerts he helped organize and the many ways that he worked behind the scenes to help WFST with the problems and projects that came along! We pray for his family as they grieve and remember the words of the Apostle Paul: "We shall be like Him!"

CARIBOU - Ernest C. Anderson, 78, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at a Caribou health care facility. He was born March 19, 1928, in Woodland, the son of Simon and Grace Little Anderson. Ernest owned and operated Anderson's Market for 15 years in Caribou and worked as a sales representative for food broker companies. He was a lifetime member of the Caribou Assembly of God Church, where he served as an elder, a Sunday school teacher, lead guitarist and gospel singer. He participated in gospel concerts to support WFST Christian Radio Station. Ministry Support The season is now upon us again to ask you to renew or to make your first Faith Promise to this ministry. "Even so hath the LORD ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel" (I Cor 9:14).
When this verse was first written radio did not exist... and the sharing of God's word was mostly one on one or in small groups, however I believe that this verse applies to all means of sharing God's word. Verse 13 tells us to financially support the preaching of the Word. Family radio does just that! We share God's word in Song and preaching / teaching programs. We are fully devoted to keeping the Word in front of you... to encourage, uplift, and help you to grow in faith. God calls us to support those who are truly servants faithfully believing and teaching His Word.

If you believe that WFST meets God's calling, then we ask that you pray about how you can support this ministry. Plan to call or stop by and tell us how you will help the ministry. We often say that we could not be here without your financial gifts and it is true. We are a listener supported, non-profit ministry. We have served for 12 years and wish to continue to serve.

Fundraiser Gifts and Giveaways

November 6 - 10 will be our fundraising week. We have a Christmas Tree a day from Hale Tree Farm to give after all the contributions have been given for that day. We have a 6’ cedar picnic table from Haley Lumber to be drawn at the end of the week. Baker’s Bed and Breakfast in Plaster Rock, NB, is giving 2 - 1 night stay and breakfast the next morning. So two different families can each win 1 night Bed and Breakfast. It also makes a nice gift to give someone that might need a mini-vacation. Also Jill Kalata of the Apothecary Spa and Retreat, will be offering a special during this fundraiser also. Another nice gift to give someone if you are not interested. What can you do to challenge others to make a faith promise?

Not-for-profit... ?

We are a "not-for-profit" ministry and we receive our funding by going to our listeners once a year and asking that you provide the finances to cover our expenses!

I ask you to please pray about how you can help. I trust that the Lord will give you the answer. The main ministry of WFST is to encourage, edify, educate and enable our Christian brothers and sisters - you! - with music and teaching programs that we hope you find valuable!
We hope to help you, the members of the body of Christ, to function more effectively in your daily walk with Him and to interact with a Lost World confidently meeting the challenges raised by living in the culture of a lost world.
We pray that God will use this broadcast to minster to those that can't get to church.

Our secondary mission is to reach out to those who aren't saved. Radio... in fact, radio, television and even the Internet are very poor evangelists. But if we can empower Christians to reach out with the Good News to their friends and neighbors... then our mission will have succeeded greatly!

Last year our budget was $157,116. I am working on this year's budget and will post it in the next newsletter and on the web site. Please be talking with other about how htey can help, then encourage them to call us and let us know how they will support WFST Family Radio.

Thank You,
John Stephenson
